How Google Pixel Watch 2 competes with Apple & Samsung smartwatches

Google has finally launched its newest smartwatch Google Pixel Watch 2. The new Pixel Watch 2 comes with upgraded performance, new safety features and sensors for deeper health insights, and much more.

Google Pixel Watch 2 VS Apple Watch Series 9 VS Samsung Galaxy Watch6: Design

The latest Google Pixel Watch 2 looks very similar to its predecessor. Its housing is made from 100 percent recycled aluminium which makes it 10 percent lighter than Pixel Watch. Moreover, the crown is also larger with a circular silhouette for easier access and navigation.

The Apple Watch Series 9 comes with a stainless steel frame, and the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 features an aluminium frame.

The new Pixel Watch 2 features an all-new, quad-core CPU for smoother and stronger performance. Also, Google claims that the smartwatch includes its most accurate heart rate tracking. The Pixel Watch 2 runs with Wear OS 4’s capabilities, which is easy to use and customise. 

Apple Watch Series 9 is powered by a custom S9 SiP. It also has a new 4-core Neural Engine that can process machine learning tasks faster. While the Galaxy Watch6 feature an Exynos W930 Dual-Core 1.4GHz processor.

Google Pixel Watch 2 VS Apple Watch Series 9 VS Samsung Galaxy Watch6: Battery

Google claims that together with the low-power co-processor, the new CPU gives the Pixel Watch 2 24 hours of battery life, even with an always-on display. 

On the other hand, Apple Watch Series 9 is said to provide 18 hours of battery life, and Samsung Galaxy Watch6 is said to offer up to 40 hours of battery life with always-on Display OFF and up to 30 hours with always-on display ON.

The Google Pixel Watch 2 is priced at ₹39,900 and will be available for purchase starting October 12 on Flipkart in India.

Meanwhile, the Apple Watch Series 9 was launched in India at a starting price of ₹41,900, and the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 was rolled out at a starting price of ₹29,999.
