Reliance Jio Down: Popular telecom operator Reliance Jio is currently experiencing a major service disruption across several parts of South India, with thousands of users reporting issues related to mobile internet connectivity, voice calls, and even JioFiber broadband services.

As per outage tracking platform Downdetector, over 12,000 reports have been logged so far, with the majority of complaints concerning mobile data failures. Around 32% of users reported call-related issues, while 12% highlighted disruptions in JioFiber services. The outage appears to have peaked around 2:15 PM IST, with a significant number of complaints emerging from southern states, particularly Kerala.
Despite the growing user concerns, Reliance Jio has yet to issue an official statement acknowledging the outage or providing any details about its cause. While we await official confirmation, it appears to be a geographically limited outage, as I am in Delhi and can access the internet and make phone calls using my Jio number.
Meanwhile, social media platform X (formerly Twitter) is seeing a flood of user posts expressing frustration over the service disruption. Many users from Kerala have confirmed a complete network blackout in their areas. While some vented their anger, others chose humour to cope, sharing memes and jokes at the expense of the telecom giant.
It is suggested that all users exercise patience and try restarting their phones or going into Airplane mode and then disable it in few seconds in order to re-register the network. In a few hours, the network should be back up and running.
