Xiaomi is expected to announce the Redmi Note 5A, the cheaper variant of Redmi Note 5 later this month in China. Ahead of the official announcement, the handset has leaked once again revealing additional details about the device. The smartphone leaked in the form of retail packaging last month revealing a 5.5-inch display and dual rear camera setup.
The new leak indicates that the Redmi Note 5A will be powered by the Snapdragon 425 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The smartphone houses a 3080mAh battery and will run Android 7.1 Nougat based MIUI 9. It is also said to feature a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
