Xiaomi’s budget offering, the Redmi 4, will go on sale today again. As always, the phone will be sold via a flash sale on Amazon India, with the sale starting at 12PM. The Redmi 4 is the successor to the Redmi 3S and sports a similar 5-inch HD display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 platform and has a 13MP primary camera. It also features a 5MP camera at the front. The battery life is still one of its best features as the phone houses a 4100mAh battery, with almost two days of battery life.
The device is available in three variants. There is the base version with 2GB RAM/16GB storage priced at Rs. 6,999, while the one with 3GB RAM/32GB storage is priced at Rs. 8,999. The top variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 10,999. It’s main competitor now is the Yu Yureka Black, which features a similar specification sheet, but our review suggests that its camera needs improvement.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 also finds a competitor in its bigger cousin, the Redmi Note 4, prices for which start at Rs. 9,999. The Redmi Note 4 is also sold via the flash sale model and will go on sale tomorrow, via Flipkart. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 platform and features a 5.5-inch display. It is also available in the same RAM and storage options as the Redmi 4.
