Xiaomi is all set to expand its premium segment in the Indian and international markets, as the Chinese brand has recently confirmed the launch of the Xiaomi 17 series. The Xiaomi 17 series is expected to comprise two smartphones, namely the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Just like the previous models, the new series is also expected to emphasise heavily the camera aspect. Additionally, the new series is also expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. The company has officially announced that the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra will make a global debut, including in the Indian markets, on February 28, 2026.

Xiaomi 17 specs (Expected)
The Xiaomi 17 is expected to draw its power from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor under the hood. Along with that, it’s also said that it may boast up to 16GB of RAM with 1TB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. In terms of battery, the device may ship with a 7,000mAh battery that will support fast charging.
Leaks also point to the device possibly featuring a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Talking about the camera, the device may offer a Leica-tuned triple 50MP rear camera setup. For selfies and video calls, the device may also pack a 50MP front-facing camera.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra specs (Expected)
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is likely to ship with a 6.9-inch AMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device may run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset coupled with up to 1GB of RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage options.
Rumours also suggest that the device might come with a 6,800mAh battery that supports fast charging and wireless charging. Talking about the camera, the device is expected to come with a Leica-supported camera setup that features a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a very capable 200MP zoom lens. At the front, the device is expected to feature a 50MP lens.

While the company has been tight-lipped about the pricing leaks, reports suggest that the Xiaomi 17 could debut in the Indian market with a price tag of around Rs 75,000 to Rs 80,000. However, the premium flagship model, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, is expected to sit in the premium bracket, with prices likely close to or above Rs 1,10,000, depending on the variant.
