Asus unveils new Vivobook laptops in India, price starts from Rs 89,990

Asus  has launched a new range of Vivobook laptops in India, bringing together different designs, screen sizes and processors for work, study and entertainment. The lineup includes the Vivobook S16, Vivobook S14, Vivobook 14 Flip, Vivobook S14 Flip and Vivobook 16.

Along with this, the company has also introduced new Snapdragon-powered Vivobook S14 and S16 models. These laptops use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X processor and come with a 45 TOPS NPU for AI features.

Talking about the launch, Arnold Su, Vice President, Consumer and Gaming Business, ASUS India said, “Today, personal technology is increasingly becoming an extension of how people work, learn, create and express themselves. With the new Vivobook lineup, we wanted to personalize our machines with the broad colourway, giving consumers a greater choice to find a device that feels more personal to them. From lightweight all-metal designs and long-lasting battery life to flexible form factors and immersive displays, the new portfolio is designed to offer the right balance of functionality and individuality, staying true to our ‘Your Vibe. Your Colour.’ proposition.”

Asus launches new Snapdragon-powered Vivobook laptops

The Snapdragon-powered Vivobook S14 (S5408QA) and Vivobook S16 (S5608QA) appear to be tailor-made for users looking for a combination of portability, battery life and AI-powered performance.

Both laptops are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X processor with a 45 TOPS NPU. ASUS claims up to 30 hours of battery life on both models, and they also support Type-C fast charging.

The Vivobook S16 gets up to an FHD+ ASUS OLED display, while the Vivobook S14 comes with a 16:10 FHD+ IPS display. The taller screen on the S14 provides more vertical space for work, study and entertainment.

Both laptops feature an all-metal design and MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability. They also come with two USB Type-C ports and HDMI 2.1, allowing users to connect external displays and accessories without relying on additional adapters.

The laptops also come with Microsoft Office Home 2024 and Microsoft 365 Basic, including 100GB of cloud storage for one year.

Coming to the Vivobook S14 Flip, it also uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X processor with a 45 TOPS NPU. Moreover, the laptop has a 360-degree all-metal design, an FHD+ ASUS OLED touchscreen and stylus support.

ASUS claims up to 30 hours of battery life on the S14 Flip. It also gets an AI FHD IR camera with TPM 2.0, along with two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports and HDMI 2.1.

Intel Vivobooks and more

The Intel-powered Vivobook S14 (S5452MA) and Vivobook S16 (S5652MA) come with all-metal designs and MIL-STD-810H certification. Asus says the S14 can deliver more than 20 hours of battery life, while the S16 is rated for more than 15 hours.

Both laptops have 16:10 FHD+ IPS displays with 100 percent sRGB coverage. They can be configured with up to an Intel Core 7 Series 3 processor with 17 TOPS of AI performance.

Asus has also launched the Vivobook 14 Flip (TP3407AA), which comes with a 360-degree all-metal design, an FHD+ ASUS OLED touchscreen and stylus support.

The laptop can deliver up to 38 hours of battery life, according to ASUS, and is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 3 355 processor with a 49 TOPS NPU.

It also gets an AI camera with a webcam shield and TPM 2.0. For connectivity, there is Thunderbolt 4 and a microSD card reader.

Talking about the Vivobook 16 (X1652XA), it comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS processor and 10 TOPS of AI acceleration. It has an FHD+ 16:10 IPS display with an 89 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The laptop also gets an FHD AI camera with facial recognition and privacy features. Microsoft productivity tools and 100GB of cloud storage for one year are included.

ASUS has also introduced the Wireless Silent Mouse MW103 alongside the new laptops. The mouse is available in Green, Pink and Blue and comes with adjustable DPI settings of 1,000, 1,200 and 1,600.

It has an ambidextrous design and silent click switches, making it suitable for shared workspaces and quieter environments. The mouse connects through a 2.4GHz wireless RF dongle and does not require additional drivers or software.

Price and availability

The Vivobook S14 Flip, Vivobook 14 Flip, Vivobook S14, Vivobook S16 and Vivobook 16 will be available from September 17. The laptops will be sold through Asus Exclusive Stores, the Asus e-shop, leading retail partners, e-commerce platforms and authorised Asus retailers.

The Snapdragon-powered Vivobook S14 and Vivobook S16 will be available from the second week of October, ahead of the festive period. Asus says their pricing will also be announced at the same time.

As for the Intel-powered Vivobook S14, its price starts from Rs 1,18,990, while the Vivobook S16 starts at Rs 1,21,990. The Vivobook 14 Flip starts at Rs 1,79,990, while the Vivobook S14 Flip starts at Rs 1,09,990. As for the Vivobook 16, it is priced at Rs 89,990.

On the other hand, the Asus Wireless Silent Mouse MW103 is priced at Rs 649.

As part of the launch, Asus is offering a limited-period protection package that includes two years of extended warranty and three years of accidental damage protection. The package is worth Rs 5,599 but is available for Rs 99 during the launch period.
