Vivo V17Pro goes official in India.
The smartphone comes with a quad rear camera and dual front cameras.
The Vivo V17Pro runs on Snapdragon 675AIE SoC.
After weeks of teases and partial revelations, Vivo has finally announced its Vivo V17Pro smartphone in India. The new upper mid-range handset by the company will go up against the likes of Redmi K20 Pro, Oppo R17 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A70, OnePlus 6T and other phones that are similarly priced. While its rivals are betting on newer processors or more features, Vivo’s primary focus is on the optics with the V17Pro. The smartphone comes equipped with a 48MP primary sensor on the back, which is supplemented by three more cameras. There’s also a pop-up camera module for the two front-facing sensors.
The Vivo V17Pro is equipped with a 6.44-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display that features a 20:9 display aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 675 SOC, which is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The handset comes in only one memory and storage version. It runs on Funtouch OS 9.1, which is based on Android 9 and it’s backed by a 4100mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. Alongside an in-display fingerprint sensor, the smartphone comes with the company’s Multi-Turbo acceleration technology, which basically works like a game booster app.
As mentioned earlier, USP of the Vivo V17Pro is its camera. The handset comes equipped with a quad rear camera setup that features a 48MP primary sensor. There’s also a 13MP telephoto camera that offers 2x optical zoom, an 8MP wide-angle camera that doubles up as a macro camera and a 2MP depth-sensing camera. The main camera supports up to 10x digital zoom. On the front, it features 32MP + 8MP sensors that are housed in the pop-up camera module.
The Vivo V17Pro is priced at Rs 29,990 for its sole 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It will be available for purchase in Glacier Ice and Midnight Ocean colour models from September 26 via Amazon, Flipkart, Vivo India E-store and offline via company’s channels.
Vivo is offering a slew of offers to sweeten the deal for Vivo V17Pro buyers. One can avail a 10 percent cashback when buying the device using HDFC and ICICI bank credit card, debit card and on HDFC Consumer loans EMI transactions. Buyers can avail a one-time screen replacement option on purchase and activation of V17Pro till October 8. There are also additional goodies worth Rs 1,999 when exchanging any old handset via Vivo- Cashify application. Vodafone-Idea customers will also get an assured buyback value of 50 percent.
There’s a zero down payment option with HDB, along with an additional 10 percent cashback by making down payment via any bank credit card. The zero down payment option is also applicable with Bajaj on 6 months tenure, IDFC First bank on 8 months tenure (along with an additional 5 percent cashback) and Home Credit with 6 months tenure.
