Airtel will start deliveries of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in India from August 22, before the global sale date of the smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is fresh off the block and we already know that it is headed to India. Samsung has announced the Indian pricing for the Note 9 –  Rs 67,900 for the 128GB storage variant and the Rs 84,900 for the 512GB storage option. Meanwhile, interesting news comes from Airtel, which will be selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 through the Airtel Online Store at a downpayment of just Rs 7,900. This will be bundled with instant financing and affordable EMIs. The rest of the cost of the phone will be recovered through a built-in postpaid plan for Rs 2,999 per month for 24 months. What’s interesting is that Airtel says it will start delivering the Note 9 to customers in India starting August 22, which tells us that the phone will definitely be made official in the country before Aug 22 and that it will be in the hands of Indian customers before the global sale date of August 24.

Those who would like to avail Airtel’s Galaxy Note 9 offer will have to pre-book the smartphone on the Airtel Online Store starting August 11. Customers who pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 on Airtel Online Store can also avail a special offer price of Rs 4,999 on the GearSport smartwatch through Samsung's website. Only the 128GB storage variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be available on Airtel’s store, in Midnight Black, Ocean Blue and Metallic Copper colour options.

The built-in Airtel postpaid plan for the Galaxy Note 9 will also serve as EMIs for the handset. With the built-in postpaid plan EMIs and the down-payment of Rs 7,900 the 128GB Galaxy Note 9, which is otherwise priced at Rs 67,900 will cost a total of Rs 79,876 for consumers who purchase it through Airtel. The built-in postpaid plan will includes 100GB of high speed data per month, unlimited calling, bundled content like 1 year Amazon Prime membership, and free subscription to Airtel TV and Wynk Music.
