Poco is preparing to expand its smartphone lineup with the upcoming Poco X8 series. The new range is expected to include the Poco X8 Pro and the Poco X8 Pro Max. Ahead of the official launch, the company has confirmed that the devices will use MediaTek’s latest Dimensity chipsets. Reports suggest the Poco X8 Pro may run on the Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip, while the Poco X8 Pro Max could feature the more powerful Dimensity 9500s processor. The Pro Max model has also appeared on a benchmarking website, giving an early look at its performance. The Poco X8 Pro is anticipated to draw its power from MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor. Furthermore, the handset will likely run on Android 16 out of the box with Xiaomi’s custom interface.
Leaks also suggest that the smartphone may also house a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel. In the camera department, the phone is said to feature a 50MP primary sensor with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies and video calls the smartphone will come equipped with a 20MP front-facing camera.

Poco X8 Pro Max specs (Expected)
The Poco X8 Pro Max is expected to be the more powerful model in the series. It’s said to come with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display that will support up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The brightness of the device is expected to peak at 3,500 nits when used outdoors.

The smartphone will likely be shipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s chipset, and the Geekbench listing validates that it will also house up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of fast UFS 4.1 storage. Much like the standard variant, the device will run on Android 16 out of the box with a custom Xiaomi OS.
In terms of battery, it will likely come packed with an 8,500mAh battery that will support 100W of wired charging and 27W of reverse wired charging. It will also feature a dual-camera setup at the rear end that will include a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Furthermore, it will also house a 20MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
