As promised, OnePlus is here with the OxygenOS 14. However, the beta version of the OS had been rolled out a while back by OnePlus for OnePlus 11. This had hinted at the fact that the OxygenOS will be here soon. With the Trinity Engine onboard with the OxygenOS 14, the new update sounds promising. OnePlus just launched an update to its operating system, the OxygenOS 14. With this, the tech company is promising a lot and also offers a lot of features. Read along to know what this new update has to offer.

Trinity Engine

Firstly, for a faster and smoother user experience, the Oxygen OS14 comes with the ‘Trinity Engine’. The Trinity Engine is a much advanced proprietary platform and it uses six different technologies to enable the full potential of a smartphone. It is also said to be a better alternative for multitasking, heavy tasking, and long-term usage, as per OnePlus.

CPU Vitalization, RAM Vitalization, and ROM Vitalization form the Trinity Engine’s core. This is then further used for improved performance, improved battery life, and smoother performance. With this OS, OnePlus promises an extended battery life of 20 minutes, a 10% improvement in smoothness in everyday smartphone use, and that even after 48 months of use, users will get a smooth user feel from their device.

Better Gaming Experience

Next up, with the Oxygen OS 14, we also get HyperRendering, HyperTouch, and HyperBoost technologies. This is something that the gamers will be familiar with. These technologies combined offer a smoother and more immersive gaming experience with the OxygenOS 14.

Enhanced Security and Privacy

The update also comes keeping in mind privacy and security protection as it comes with features to enhance the same. The Oxygen OS14 comes with Device Security Engine 3.0 which is based on the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). Its work is to ensure that effective device security is reinforced to protect the device and prevent virus cracking and de-compilation efforts.

The Security Centre has also seen an upgrade. It has become a one-stop shop for users to manage the security and privacy of their devices. It can also alert users of potential security threats.

The OxgenOS 14 also brings Strong Box powered by a Built-in eSE (embedded Secure Element) security chip, for chip-level security of the device.

Apart from this, there are other security features on the OxygenOS 14 like Auto Pixelate 2.0 and the “Ask every time” setting.

Newer Design with Aquamorphic Design 2.0

The OxygenOS 14 comes with Aquamorphic Design 2.0 and offers new interactions, animations, music, and colour systems, amongst many other things. Fluid Cloud is a notable feature of Aquamorphic Design 2.0 as it enables users to view notifications within bubbles, capsules, and panels. This comes in a more naturally integrating and flowing way, as per the theme.

The status bar has been changed and the colour system also has something new to offer. Speaking of the colour system, based on factors including time of the day, smartphone status, and content, it will change dynamically. The OxygenOS 14 will also offer nine sets of Aquamorphic-themed ringtones.

Other Features

There’s an option to track your carbon footprint too with the Go Green AOD. In addition to all of this, there are many features for better entertainment and productivity that this OS has to offer, like the ‘File Dock’ feature and Notes 2.0.

As far as the availability is concerned, the Oxygen OS 14 will first be available for the OnePlus 11 5G starting in mid-November, as confirmed by OnePlus. And it will later be rolled out for other devices. The beta version, however, will be rolled out for other devices starting from October.
