After updating the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T smartphones to Nougat just last month, OnePlus has started rolling out a new stability update for both phones. The new update, namely Oxygen OS 4.0.3 has started rolling out in waves to OnePlus 3 and 3T owners. OnePlus says Indian users will start getting the update in a few days. The latest update brings changes to the Wi-Fi settings, camera app and fixes some OS stability issues.

Here are some of the highlights of the new update, as posted on OnePlus forums

  • Added Wi-Fi IPv6 Support toggle
  • Optimized Smart Wi-Fi Switcher, if turned on, device will switch to data connection if Wi-Fi signal is consistently poor
  • Fixed crashes for Line
  • Increased stability of the Camera app
  • Optimized exposure when taking night time photos
  • Updated Audio Parameters and improved the quality of audio recordings
  • Updated APN settings for select carriers
  • Amazon Prime App will be pre-installed for India Users

The Amazon Prime app, mentioned above is the Prime Video app, which will now be pre-loaded on its devices. OnePlus also detailed some known Wi-Fi disconnection issues OnePlus 3 and 3T owners may face and added some fixes for the same in the post. According to OnePlus if you are experiencing frequent WiFi disconnections, head to Wi-Fi Settings and tap on Configure WiFi. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and check whether the IP address format is IPv6 or IPv4. If it is IPv6 then turn off IPv6 Support.

If you face disconnections due to the Smart Wi-Fi switcher, try turning off the smart Wi-Fi switcher completely.
