Nexus Sailfish leaks show dual-tone back, metal body
HIGHLIGHTS

The images suggest that only the top half of the phone's rear will have a glass panel.

Google’s Nexus smartphones are among the most-awaited smartphones to be launched this year, and we may have gotten a good look at one of them here. Alleged image of the smaller of the two Nexus devices (codenamed Sailfish) has been leaked by Android Police. Judging by it, the device will feature a metallic build along with a two-tone colour scheme at the back, consisting of a glass panel on the top half. The image also suggest that the company might stick with placing the fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone, similar to Nexus 5X and 6P. The leaked image also looks very similar to those posted by Twitter user @usbfl, a few days ago.

To recall, HTC is rumoured to be manufacturing both Nexus devices this time around. The Sailfish model is tipped to feature a 5-inch Full HD display, while the bigger model (codenamed Marlin) is expected to sport a 5.5-inch QHD display. Both phones are expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC along with 4GB of RAM. Further, timesnews.co.uk also reported that the two devies recently were recently certified by the FCC. The Google Nexus Sailfish has also been spotted on benchmarking websites running on Android Nougat, which isn't surprising at all. However, what is surprising is that the two devices might not be the first to sport Google's new OS. The LG V20, which is scheduled to be unveiled on September 6, might have the honour of being the first phone to be available with Android Nougat pre-installed.
