New LG Nexus smartphone with 3D dual camera to unveil in October?
The new LG made Nexus smartphone with inbuilt fingerprint scanner, Android M and a 3D dual camera is slated for an October release, according to reports.
Google's next Nexus smartphone will be made by LG and released in October according to new reports. The Internet giant is expected to launch two Nexus smartphones this year, one manufactured by LG and another by Huawei.
A report by South Korean media states that the LG built Nexus smartphone will feature 3D technology and will pack two camera modules along with an infrared sensor. The smartphone which will be unveiled in October will also come with 3D-based graphics and an easy-to-use UI. LG has already experimented with dual camera technology with the Optimus 3D smartphone in 2011. The report states that the LG Nexus smartphone will run on Google's latest Android M operating system out of the box. Other leaked specifications of the device include a 5.2 inch display, hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor which was also used in the LG's flagship G4. The smartphone will be powered by a 2700mAh battery. The “premium” device will include features like integrated finger print sensor, which according to reports Google had also tried to include in the Motorola built Nexus 6.
According to rumors, Google will be launching two new Nexus devices this year. LG, which made the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5, will be making one device while the second larger phablet will reportedly be made by Huawei. The Huawei made Nexus smartphone will have a 5.7 inch display. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and will pack a 3500mAh battery.
Google had announced Android M at its I/O Developer Conference in May and stated that the build will focus on security as well as improving battery life. The Internet giant had released a preview version for developers and stated that future Nexus handsets will come with inbuilt fingerprint sensors. Reportedly, Google could use the technology to help users make Google Play purchases, sign in to websites, etc. without entering their passwords. The software will also support Android Pay as well as fast-charging USB-C ports. Google execs were seen using a new Nexus 5 2015 with an integrated fingerprint sensor during the Google I/O presentation.
