LG G2 4G variant with 32GB storage launched in India for Rs. 49,000
Aiming to tap the growing 4G segment in India, LG has launched the 4G variant of its new flagship G2 smartphone in the country for Rs. 49,000.
LG has launched a 4G version of its new flagship smartphone G2 in India. The 32GB model of the 4G-enabled LG G2 has been priced at Rs. 49,000. The smartphone will be available in three colour options – black, white and gold.
Apart from the 4G support, rest of the specifications of the smartphone remain the same: 5.2-inch display, 2.2 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera and 2.1MP front camera 3,000mAh battery. Also check out our detailed LG G2 Review and LG G2 vs premium Android smartphones
The fourth generation of mobile and wireless communications, 4G, is still in its nascent stage in India. Bharti Airtel is the only telecom operator in the country currently to offer 4G services in select circles. The operator recently launched 4G for mobile devices in Bangalore.
It’s worth pointing out here very few companies are offering 4G-enabled smartphones. LG, apparently, wants to join the 4G race to grab an early advantage. According to reports, the company will be spending about Rs. 500 crore on marketing of its mobile products, mainly smartphones.
“4G will become main stream in India by the end of 2015 and LG G2 is a first step to realise the new mobility service for the Indian consumers,” LG Electronics India’s Mobile Communications Product & Marketing Head Amit Gujral is quoted as saying.
