Though there's no official word on the pricing, the new HP devices are expected to be either mid-range or budget ones.

HP has announced launching two new Android devices – Slate 6 and Slate 7 VoiceTab – in the Indian market next month. HP says its new Android devices are designed in Asia and custom made for Indian users. The HP Slate 6 has a 6-inch display, while the Slate 7 VoiceTab sporting a 7-inch screen.

Both the HP devices feature quad-core processor, voice-calling capability, Android 4.3 operating system, dual-SIM with dual standby, and 3G. The HP Slate6 and HP Slate7 come with front stereo speakers, new IPS Panel, high-definition (HD) front and rear camera for photos and video chats.

According to a HP release, both the devices have slim design, feature pixilated, scratch-resistant back cover design. Details about other specifications and price are not yet revealed.

HP’s new announcement comes weeks after the company hinted at returning to the smartphone race again. According to reports, HP will be focussing on emerging markets such as India and China. And its devices will be priced between $200 and $250.
