Google is set to unveil its next-generation Pixel smartphones next week, with the Pixel 11 Pro Fold expected to take center stage. The launch will put Google’s latest book-style foldable against Samsung’s recently unveiled Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. There is also another book-style foldable available in the market, the Vivo X Fold 5. So, how would these three premium foldable smartphones compare on paper? Here’s a look.

Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs Vivo X Fold 5: Display

The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is expected to feature an 8-inch LTPO OLED inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display could be 6.4 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra sports an 8-inch 2x AMOLED main display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It has a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic 2X AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Vivo X Fold 5 equips an 8.03-inch AMOLED main display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display is 6.53 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs Vivo X Fold 5: Camera

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold may house a 48MP main camera, a 10.5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. For selfies, you can expect two 10MP selfie cameras, one on the cover display and another on the folding display.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra sports a triple-rear camera setup, consisting of a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 10MP telephoto lens. For selfies, the phone has a 10MP camera on both displays.

The Vivo X Fold 5 also comes with a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. It also features dual 20MP front cameras, one on the main display and one on the cover screen.

Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs Vivo X Fold 5: Processor

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is expected to run on Google’s Tensor chipset, likely the Tensor G6. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The Vivo X Fold 5 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is said to pack a 5,015mAh battery with 30W wired charging and 15W wireless charging support. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is backed by a 5,000mAh dual-cell battery with support for 45W wired fast charging and 20W wireless charging. The X Fold 5 packs a 6,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging support.
