Chrome Beta for Windows 10 will also support communication with nearby Bluetooth devices.
The latest beta version of Google Chrome is out and it brings touch-based web-authentication for Android and Mac devices, adding another layer of security to the browser. The new version uses Mac’s TouchID and Android’s fingerprint sensor to let developers enforce biometric authentication, Google wrote in its blog.
Chrome 70 Beta also supports shape detection that will leverage device’s shape detection abilities to let users identify faces, texts and images. The shape detection application programming interface (API) consists of face detection, barcode detection and text detection APIs," the post added.
Chrome Beta for Windows 10 will also support communication with nearby Bluetooth devices. You can now also exit full-screen automatically when there is a prompt for authentication, payment or file picker. This gives users better contexts for decisions while filling the prompts. The beta version is available for Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, MacOS and Android.
