Samsung confirms to launch tri-fold phone and Apple Vision Pro rival by end of 2025
Samsung has confirmed to launch its tri-fold phone by the end by 2025.
It’s expected to feature the same chipset as the Galaxy S25 series.
Samsung also plans to launch Apple Vision Pro-rival by the end of this year.
At the Galaxy Unpacked event last month, Samsung’s VP and Head of Smartphone Product Planning, Minseok Kang, told us that the company’s long-rumoured tri-fold smartphone is already in development. He shared that Samsung is evaluating all possibilities, and if things go as planned, the phone could be commercially launched by the end of this year.
SurveyNow, Samsung has reiterated its plans during its Q2 2025 earnings announcement, confirming that the tri-fold phone will indeed launch by the end of 2025, alongside an extended reality (XR) device.

In H2 2025, the MX Business plans to continue a flagship-first approach for smartphone sales focusing on foldables and the Galaxy S25 series — while emphasising the AI functionality of the Galaxy A series — to increase market share,” Samsung stated in its official release. “It will also reinforce the AI capabilities of tablets and wearables and expand the Galaxy ecosystem with the launch of products with new form-factors, including extended reality (XR) and TriFold devices, and contribute to maintaining solid profitability despite market uncertainties and rising bill of materials (BOM) costs.”

While Samsung hasn’t shared the full details of the tri-fold phone yet, leaks and rumours offer some insight. It’s expected to feature the same chipset as the Galaxy S25 series and could pack 16GB of RAM. The design might combine both aluminium and titanium. Samsung’s tri-fold phone is expected to stick with a regular battery and support only 25W fast charging.
With both the tri-fold and XR headset on the horizon, it’s clear that Samsung is investing heavily in next-gen devices that redefine how we interact with technology.
