While the exact cause of the error is unknown, it appears to be a simple mix-up by someone from Apple’s social media team. Still, such a slip is highly unusual for a company like Apple.
The timing also adds to the embarrassment. Apple’s first foldable iPhone, rumoured to be called the iPhone Fold, is still at least a year away from launch. Leaks suggest it could arrive in late 2026 with a 7.8-inch foldable display and a 5.5-inch outer screen.
With this accidental shoutout from Apple, it’s safe to say the Galaxy Z Flip 7 got a little extra publicity.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 features a 6.9-inch FHD+ AMOLED main screen with 120hz refresh rate and a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED cover screen with 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Exynos 2500, paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.
For photography, this flip-style foldable phone houses a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. On the front, there is a 10MP camera. Furthermore, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is backed by a 4,300 mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging, fast wireless charging 2.0, and Wireless PowerShare.
