Reliance Jio has recently introduced a special Independence Day offer under which they have now made one of their long-term broadband plans much more affordable. Under the limited-time offer, the telecom giant is offering a flat discount of Rs 6,000 on its 15-month 100 Mbps broadband plan. This slashes the broadband plan from Rs 16,000 to Rs 10,000 and lowers the monthly rate to about Rs 666. Moreover, the deal is only available at the MyJio app and hasn’t appeared yet on the Jio website. Jio Freedom Pack broadband plan: Discount
The plan was originally priced at Rs 16,000 for a validity of 15 months. As part of Jio’s Independence Day offer, the telecom operator has slashed the price by Rs 6,000, bringing the effective cost down to Rs 10,000 under its Freedom Day Pack.
At its original price, the plan effectively cost around Rs 1,066 per month. However, with the Independence Day discount, the monthly effective cost has dropped to just Rs 666, resulting in a saving of Rs 400 per month compared to the regular pricing.
Jio Freedom Pack broadband plan: Benefits
With the new Jio Freedom Pack, the company claims to offer up to 100 Mbps of internet speed, unlimited data and free voice calling for a span of 15 months. Furthermore, it also includes access to more than 1,000 live TV channels through Jio’s home entertainment service.
In addition to the above-mentioned, the plan also includes subscriptions to over 12 entertainment apps, including uninterrupted access to JioHotstar, SonyLiv and Zee5, adding more value for those who regularly watch movies, sports and TV shows online. Some reports also suggest that you may get a free set-top box with the plan.

Jio Freedom Pack broadband plan: Should you buy?
If you are planning to keep the same broadband connection for more than a year, then the offer is a steal, as while you have to pay upfront, it helps to bring down the monthly cost, and the bundled entertainment benefits add extra value. However, if you’re someone who prefers shorter plans or is unsure about staying at the same address for a long time, then you may find monthly or shorter validity options more suitable.
