OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s San Francisco home appears to have faced a second attack early Sunday morning. This comes just two days after a Molotov cocktail incident at the same property. According to the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD), two suspects- Amanda Tom,25, and Muhamad Tarik Hussein,23- have been arrested and booked for negligent discharge.
SurveyPolice said the shooting incident happened around 1:40 AM on Sunday. A Honda sedan with two people inside allegedly drove past Altman’s property before returning a few minutes later, reports The San Francisco Standard.
Surveillance footage and security staff reports suggest that the passenger extended their hand out of the car window and appeared to fire a round near the Lombard side of the property. Security personnel reported hearing a gunshot.

The vehicle then fled away, but a security camera captured its license plate. That information helped officers track down the car and later detain the two suspects on the 2000 block of Taylor Street. During a search of the suspects’ residence, officers reportedly found three firearms. No injuries were reported in Sunday’s incident.
The alleged shooting comes shortly after another attack on Friday morning. In that case, a 20-year-old Texas man named Daniel Alejandro Moreno-Gama allegedly threw a bottle containing a flaming rag at the metal gate of Altman’s home on Chestnut Street at around 3:40 AM. Security guards extinguished.
After the first incident, Altman posted, ‘The fear and anxiety about AI is justified. We are in the process of witnessing the largest change to society in a long time, and perhaps ever.’
