Motorola has officially expanded its G series smartphone in India with the launch of the new Moto G Max. The device offers a large battery, a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, and a satin-finish design available in Pantone-curated colours. It also offers durability certifications, a 120Hz display, and AI-assisted photography features. The device will go on sale starting next week. The Motorola G Max offers 6.72-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,050 nits of high brightness. It also offers Water Touch technology. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, built on a 4nm process, paired with 6GB of LPDDR5X RAM (expandable up to 18GB via virtual RAM boost) and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It is backed by a 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 33W charging. It runs on Android 16 out of the box, along with Google Gemini integration. The users will also get two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
In terms of camera, the device offers a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main sensor with Quad Pixel technology, an 8MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, the device offers a 32MP quad-pixel selfie camera with dedicated ambient light sensor for faster autofocus. It also offers Night Vision, Portrait mode, Pro Mode, Adobe Scan, and AI-based Google Photos editing tools such as Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur.
The device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, MIL-STD-810H certification and an IP64 water-resistant rating, alongside stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, dual microphones and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Motorola G Max comes in a single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration and is priced at Rs 27,999. The customers can get a Rs 1,000 instant bank discount bringing down the net effective price to Rs 26,999. It will be available on sale starting at August 20 on Flipkart, Motorola e-store and select retail channel partners. It includes three colour options- Pantone Stargazer, Pantone Alaskan Blue, and Pantone Malaga.
