After Apple’s latest stint with the Wonderlust event, we hear that Apple has more in the kitty to offer. Apple could be sharing the new iPad updates sooner than you know. The California-based tech giant could unveil the latest iPad updates this week itself, most likely on Tuesday, 17 October 2023.

The timing of the updates doesn’t come as a shocker as an update was due for the iPads now. The iPads having silicon chips will be updated with this. Apple will not take any special efforts for this and we can expect a press release tomorrow announcing the new update. This news was shared by Supercharged.

We are hoping to see a new updated version of the iPad Air, iPad mini, as well as the vanilla model of the iPad. Reports suggest that we should not expect major design changes on these updates as they will only come with minor adjustments in the specifications.

iPad expected specifications

The current generation of iPad Air hosts the M1 chip. As per a report by Supercharged, the iPad Air will be upgraded to an M2 chipset. Speaking of the iPad Mini, moving over the current A15 Bionic chipset, it could come with the A16 Bionic chip now. Earlier this week, we came across reports that claim that the iPad Mini could even sport a new display controller. This will help users skip on the jelly scrolling issue which they have to deal with currently while scrolling on the iPad Mini.

Last year, it was the vanilla model of the iPad that got the last update. So, it is the most recent update on the block. Currently, it uses the A14 Bionic chips. Now considering the fact that other iPad variants will incorporate the A16 Bionic chips, the base model could come with it too.

Well, the next generation of iPads is not expected soon. Let’s wait and see what Apple does.
