Google Home's new AI feature, Insights, may offer personalized tips based on user interactions.
The app’s automation section will get a Material 3 redesign with fresh interactive cards.
A new Vacation Mode may allow users to set routines when the home is empty for extended periods.
Google Home is reportedly working on a variety of features to improve the user experience. With AI taking over, the tech giant is now working to improve user personalisation and automate smart home devices, and it may soon release a new AI-powered feature called Insights. As the name implies, the Insights will provide personalised recommendations based on users’ app usage and interactions with their smart home devices. Interestingly, this feature will collect data from application and device sensors in order to provide useful tips and feedback to users.
The reports state that an APK teardown of the Google Home beta 3.29 release revealed the features. It also contains the updates for the automation and routines sections of the app. Through a series of interactive cards, the redesign will offer users fresh ideas while adhering to Material 3, the most recent Android design language.
