Google Home is reportedly working on a variety of features to improve the user experience. With AI taking over, the tech giant is now working to improve user personalisation and automate smart home devices, and it may soon release a new AI-powered feature called Insights. As the name implies, the Insights will provide personalised recommendations based on users’ app usage and interactions with their smart home devices. Interestingly, this feature will collect data from application and device sensors in order to provide useful tips and feedback to users.

The reports state that an APK teardown of the Google Home beta 3.29 release revealed the features. It also contains the updates for the automation and routines sections of the app. Through a series of interactive cards, the redesign will offer users fresh ideas while adhering to Material 3, the most recent Android design language.
Additionally, the Starters and Actions menu will now have a Conditions section that lets users specify time ranges and presence options for triggering routines. The Presence tool will only activate routines if sensors detect that someone is at home.
The new toggle button will also allow users to temporarily deactivate the routines and a Vacation Mode will enable automation setups for when the home is unoccupied for an extended period.
It is worth noting that these features are under development and have not yet been available for the beta testers. However, the reports suggest that the features might be available for the beta testers in the coming weeks with the public rollout in the coming months.
