Apple Arcade Expands Library with Five New Games Coming May 1
Apple is set to expand its Apple Arcade gaming subscription service with five new titles arriving on May 1 across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.
The headliner of this upcoming release is “WHAT THE CLASH?”, an Apple Arcade exclusive from indie developer Triband. This quirky multiplayer party game follows the success of their previous title “WHAT THE CAR?”, which won Mobile Game of the Year at the 2024 D.I.C.E. Awards. The players control the Hand, which is a stretchy hand with legs that can be customized with hundreds of unlockable items, and battle opponents in chaotic mini-games ranging from table tennis to archery, with absurd modifiers creating combinations like “giraffle” and “toasty archery.”
For those seeking a more relaxing experience, “with My Buddy” offers a cozy simulation where players can bond with and care for virtual puppies and kittens, providing a kid-friendly option for animal lovers.
Racing enthusiasts can look forward to “LEGO Friends Heartlake Rush+”, where players can speed through Heartlake City as various LEGO Friends characters. The game allows for extensive customization of vehicles with unique colours, decals, and other elements while players dodge obstacles and collect treasures.
In “Words of Wonders: Search+” players search for hidden words while virtually exploring iconic landmarks around the world, with themed levels offering increasing challenges.
Rounding out the new additions is “SUMI SUMI: Matching Puzzle+”, featuring beloved San-X characters like Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi in a tap-to-match puzzle game designed with charming kawaii aesthetics.
These five new titles join Apple Arcade’s collection of over 200 games, all free from advertisements and in-app purchases. Existing subscribers can also look forward to content updates for favourite titles including “Hello Kitty Island Adventure” (with the new City Town Orchards opening on April 16), “PGA TOUR Pro Golf” (featuring the RBC Heritage tournament starting April 17), and “WHAT THE CAR?” (receiving new skins, levels, and a map on April 10).
Apple Arcade is available in India for INR 99 per month, with a one-month free trial available to new subscribers. The service is also included in Apple One subscription bundles, with a family subscription allowing up to six family members to access the entire game catalogue.
