While there is no official confirmation about the exact release date or streaming platform for Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc at the time of writing. MAPPA, the company responsible for the animation, has only stated that production is underway. Looking at the studio’s past pattern, both Chainsaw Man Season 1 and the Reze Arc movie were released almost two years after their announcements. Based on this, the Assassins Arc is likely to arrive sometime in late 2027. The second season is also expected to be released on platforms like Crunchyroll, Netflix and JioHotstar.

The Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc storyline

The Assassins Arc adapts the International Assassins storyline from the manga. It begins after the events of the Reze Arc, with Denji unaware of what truly happened to Reze. His life becomes even more dangerous when Chainsaw Man’s growing fame attracts attention from around the world. Powerful assassins from different countries arrive in Japan with one goal, to capture Denji’s heart.

According to the official synopsis, global interest in Chainsaw Man turns Denji into a high-value target. Despite increased protection, he is forced into nonstop battles against skilled and ruthless enemies. The arc covers manga chapters 53 to 70, spread across volumes 7 and 8. The story is fast-paced, emotional, and filled with sudden twists, making it one of the most talked-about arcs in the series.

The Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc cast and crew

The main voice cast from the first season is set to return. Kikunosuke Toya voices Denji, with Tomori Kusunoki as Makima. Shougo Sakata returns as Aki Hayakawa, while Ai Fairouz voices Power. Other returning cast members include Karin Takahashi as Kobeni, Kenjiro Tsuda as Kishibe, and Shiori Izawa as Pochita.
