HIGHLIGHTS

The Internet search giant has brought improvements in Google Now with its new update of its Google Search app for iOS devices.

Google Search for iOS has received a new update that allows the application to understand your conversational, natural language. Android users had received these capabilities a while back and now the same features are available for Google search app on iOS as well.

The new update allows you to get Google Search ready for your query by saying, “Ok Google”, ahead of asking your question. Now, you can ask Google “What’s the weather like?,” and once you get the reply, you can follow up with “How about this weekend?” to get further information.

Other new features updated on the iOS version of Google Search 4.0 also adds the ability for Google Now to provide you information related to your favorite topics, upcoming trips, and your favorite blogs and authors. Google Now update adds cards for Cricket and if you are a sports fan, you can get results sent to you without even asking for them. The update also brings speed improvements for Google Search and Google Now on your iOS device. Users can download or install the latest app for Google Search from the Apple App Store.

While Google’s voice-assistant competes with Apple’s Siri and Microsoft’s Cortana, improvements and context-specific features are definitely becoming important. Google recently introduced ‘OK Google’ voice search for its PC version of Google Chrome. The new feature can be used by opening a new tab or visiting Google.com in Chrome and then saying “Enable Ok Google,” to begin the voice search. Google has also introduced a new update for its search on Android that lets you activate the camera, click pictures or video with a voice command.
