  4. Impact measurement – Regular reporting on AI’s social and economic effects, including its influence on jobs and media.
  5. Empowering individuals – Making advanced AI tools accessible to all adults, as basic utilities akin to electricity or clean water.

This list reads less like a warning and more like a framework for coexistence. OpenAI doesn’t call for a slowdown, instead, it asks for smarter steering.
