The thing to note in this card is its pricing. It is available at Rs.17,500 whereas GTX 570 is priced around Rs.25,000 to Rs. 29,000 and GTX 580 is priced at Rs. 38,000 to Rs. 42,000. ZOTAC GTX 560Ti AMP! Edition detailed review
Graphic cards generally have plane jane looks, but offlate we are seeing some really well designed cards. The latest one to join that club is the Zotac GeForce GTX 560 Ti AMP edition, which was launched today.
The moment we set our eyes on the card, we let out an appreciative gasp. The yellow grilled metal design filling the gaps between the strong metal chassis does not only look aesthetically pleasing, but also enhances heat dissipation. The fan is located bang in the centre and the Zotac logo on the triangular metal chassis portion. The formula one car-like design is quite pleasing.
We can go on and on about the looks, but lets see what's inside. Considering its an AMP edition, which is factory overclocked, we were expecting the core clock to exceed the reference 822MHz found on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560Ti. Zotac has incremented that by a whopping 128 MHz putting the core clock frequency at 950MHz. It is still less than Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti SOC which is clocked at an insane 1 GHz.
The overclocking reflects in the scores. 3D Mark Vantage gave 23652 whereas Unigine Heaven 2.1 (1080p, extreme tessellation) gave 910 as compared to 790 of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti. Gaming was 15 percent faster in S.T.A.L.K.E.R : Call Of Pripyat, 11 percent faster in Crysis Warhead and 15 percent faster in Resident Evil 5 benchmarks as compared to NVIDIA GTX 560Ti. Refer the graphs below for a comparison of scores with the reference NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti card.
We also noticed that the performance of the card was very close to that of the GTX 570 and GTX 580. It even managed to score higher than the GTX 570s in certain games. Graphs are shown below.
The thing to note in this card is its pricing. It is available at Rs.17,500 whereas GTX 570 is priced around Rs.25,000 to Rs. 29,000 and GTX 580 is priced at Rs. 38,000 to Rs. 42,000.
