One of the most hyped smartphones of all time from one of the most hyped mobile phone brands of all time, the Nothing Phone (2) raised many eyebrows when it first launched. Starting at ₹44,999, it was significantly more expensive than its predecessor, and people wondered if the device was truly worth it or was just capitalising on the hype surrounding the brand. We reviewed it and it turns out that the ₹44,999 has some merit after all. The Phone (2) is a delight to use in daily life as it is a well-rounded phone with eye-catching looks and excellent features to match. The software has been refined and Nothing OS 2.0 feels like one of the smoothest skins on the market with a clean interface, quirky features, and great design and animations. The Glyph UI also sees some actual functionality through integration with third-party apps like Uber and Zomato. The performance from the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is also excellent; gaming is smooth and lag-free and day-to-day tasks are handled with ease. The bright AMOLED display comes with symmetrical bezels all the way around, which is, once again, a rarity. The camera, while decent in daylight, could be improved in low light since the images turned out soft and noisy at times.
