While Apple hadn’t made any official announcement of the Apple watch in India, the date was mentioned in the Apple India Website. Like the iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus, there is a big price difference between the US and India. The in US, the base model of the Apple Watch, the 38mm variant of the Apple Watch Sport, is priced at $349, which is about Rs. 23,000 by direct conversion. The most expensive variant of the Apple Watch Edition is prices at $17,000, which is approximately Rs. 11,18,000 by direct conversion.

This price difference may end up hurting the sales of the Apple Watch in India. Sales of the the Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus were not up to the company’s expectations after its first week in India. However, Apple did manage to sell 48.04 million units during the fourth quarter of 2015.
