Lumio Vision 9 specifications and features

The Lumio Vision 9 uses an EVA (Enhanced VA) panel with Mini LED backlighting and quantum dot colour. The company is claiming 800 nits of peak brightness, up to 7000:1 (Dynamic contrast 100,000:1) contrast ratio, and support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision.

For gaming, the TV supports native 4K at 144Hz along with VRR and ALLM. This should make it suitable for consoles like PS5 and Xbox Series X, as well as gaming PCs. There is also support for 1080p at up to 240Hz, which could appeal to competitive gamers.

On the audio side, you are getting a 50W hexa-driver setup with dual subwoofers and Dolby Atmos support.

Under the hood, the TV is powered by a MediaTek Pentonic 700 chipset paired with 3GB DDR4 RAM and 2x faster storage than the predecessor. Lumio claims faster boot times and app loading compared to typical Google TVs. In practical terms, this should reduce UI lag, which is a common issue in this segment.

As for software, the TV runs Android 14 with Google TV. A notable addition is Lumio’s TLDR interface, which has been updated to aggregate and present content across apps into a single searchable feed, reducing the need to switch between platforms.

This TLDR 2.0 includes:

  • Trending Top 10 with daily updated rankings across all platforms.
  • Curated collections from content creators and a unified Lumio Rating score.
  • Smart Search to filter by language, genre, or platform for precise results.

Another interesting feature under work is Project Neo, which involves the user simply sending content they like or text messages to the TLDR bot on WhatsApp, Instagram messages and Telegram. The bot uses smart algorithms and AI and shows what you want to watch, where it is streaming on the connected TV. It also lets you build a watchlist directly on the TV. You can learn more about this in a feature story we will be doing soon.

The connectivity options include HDMI 2.1 ports, USB 3.0 with exFAT support and a satellite input for DD Free Dish.

What’s new on Lumio Vision 7

The new Lumio Vision 7 will come with:

  • 4X more storage with 64GB, which is also 2X faster than its previous generation
  • A new satellite port that gives users access to free TV channels with up to 540 channels via Free Dish.
  • The new software features, like Android 14, TLDR 2.0 and Project Neo support, will be available when it is live.
