I know the annoying feeling when you are on call with someone, talking about something important, and the call drops. Well, I would like to break some good news for you. TRAI is getting strict on call drops. The new chairman of TRAI, Anil Kumar Lahoti said that the Quality of Services (QoS) and growth of the telecom sector are the main aims of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. Along with that, TRAI is also planning to improve the network connectivity inside buildings.

Furthermore, Anil Kumar Lahoti has also added that call drops are one thing that TRAI is focusing on the most. However, we don’t know yet how TRAI is planning to achieve that.

As I mentioned above, TRAI is getting more strict with the regulations and has also issued guidelines for telecom operators. These guidelines are to reduce spam calls and messages. Despite these new regulations, Airtel and Vi still sent spam calls and messages to their users. In return, TRAI fined the telecom operators with ₹1 crore.

Speaking of call drops, TRAI has warned the telecom operators to fix the call drop issue. It is also expected that from the government’s end, some regulations regarding call drops will be implemented soon.

Apart from that, a piece of news is surfacing on the internet, claiming that Vi’s 5G services will be rolled out across India in 5-6 months. We all know that Vi is quite late to the party, but let’s see if it can improve the call drops along with the internet speed.

Lastly, the call drops have become so common that they don’t even bother some users now. This is a very vast issue in India that needs to be fixed, as we have come so far in the world of technology.
