HIGHLIGHTS

The Jio-Redmi 5A offer is valid on phones sold and recharged between December 5, 2017 to November 30, 2018. Here are the complete details of the offer.

Reliance Jio has teamed up with Xiaomi to offer Rs 1000 as cashback on the purchase of the newly launched Redmi 5A budget smartphone. The Redmi 5A is priced at Rs 5999 for the 2GB RAM, 16GB storage version and Rs 6999 for the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage version. However, Xiaomi is offering a Rs 1000 discount on the 2GB/16GB version of the Redmi 5A to the first 5 million buyers of the device.

If purchased with a Jio connection, users can further avail cashback of Rs 1000, taking the cost of the 2GB/16GB version of the Redmi 5A to Rs 3,999. This makes the Redmi 5A an extremely attractive budget buy with good specs.

As always, there are a few conditions for availing Jio’s cashback offer. The Jio offer on the Redmi 5A is valid on both variants of the smartphone. Users will get Rs 1,000 cashback on buying the smartphone with a Jio connection, however, a consecutive recharge of Rs 199 will have to be made for 12 months.

The Rs 199 Jio recharge offers free national calls with unlimited data (daily 1GB FUP) and SMSs for validity of 28 days. Customers will receive the cashback in the form of 10 vouchers worth Rs 1,000 in the denomination of Rs 100 at the end of 12 months.

Cashback vouchers will be credited to the customer's account and will be visible under the My Vouchers section on the MyJio app. The vouchers can be redeemed, one at a time, against recharges of Rs 309 and above and against Rs 201 and above data add-ons before Nov 30, 2019.

The Jio-Redmi 5A offer is valid on phones sold and recharged between December 5, 2017 to November 30, 2018. The Rs 199 plan will be available for the first 12 months only.
