The smartphone has a display free of any punch holes or notches. It features a pop-up selfie camera, something Vivo has also included previously on the V15 Pro and the Nex.
The Vivo S1 features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone runs on the MediaTek Helio P70 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage . On the software front, it features Android Pie out of the box. This is layered under Funtouch OS 9.
In the camera department, a 24.8MP sensor pops out of the display, while a triple camera setup – 12MP+8MP (Wide)+5MP (Depth) – adorns the back of the device. There’s also a fingerprint scanner at the back of the Vivo S1 and the entire package is powered by a 3940 mAh battery, which supports 18W fast charging.
The Vivo S1 further features the company’s Jovi AI voice assistant which can be called up using a dedicated side-mounted button on the phone. It also gets Game Turbo tech to enhance gaming performance on the device.
The Vivo S1 is priced at CNY 2,298 (Rs 23,525) and is slated to go on sale in China starting April 1. There’s no word on an India launch date.
