Upcoming Sony Xperia Z4 Compact and Z4 Ultra specs leaked

Sony is expected to announce a brand new set of Xperia devices next year that will run on 64-bit Snapdragon 810 SoCs.

Sony has not been doing too well in the smartphone business although the company produced some of the best Android smartphones in recent years. A fresh lineup of Xperia devices is expected to arrive early next year and we are already hearing rumours about two devices that may launch by Q2 of 2015.

According to AndroidOrigin, Sony may reveal the Xperia Z4 Compact smartphone and the Z4 Ultra phablet along with the Xperia Z4 at MWC 2015 but is expected to launch the first two devices a little later than the flagship smartphone. The first set of leaked specifications of the devices point out that the new Xperia lineup will run on Snapdragon 810 chipsets.

The next ruler of the compact world could be the Z4 Compact which is expected to come with a 4.7-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 with 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal memory, 20.7MP rear camera, S-Master HX digital amplifier, improved stereo speakers, 5MP front-facing camera with 1080p video recording, IP68 dust and water resistance, LTE Cat.9, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and wireless charging support.

The Z4 Ultra will also be making an appearance and is an update to the two year old Z Ultra. The Z4 Ultra is rumoured to feature a 6.44-inch display with Quad-HD resolution, a Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3GB RAM, a 16MP camera and a battery capacity between 3,500 and 4,000mAh. Rumours also claim that the device could feature a stylus this time.
