Samsung is said to bring the One UI 9.5 update in early 2027 as the second major software release based on Android 17. The brand has already introduced the One UI 9 with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. It offers some visual changes along with deeper AI integration and better privacy. But now, the details about the One UI 9.5 update have started to surface. It may debut with the Samsung Galaxy S27 series and leaks suggest that the company is looking for a more feature-rich update. Here is what we know.

As per reports, One UI 9.5 may introduce a refreshed interface with more transparent UI elements including cards, floating bars and redesigned system visuals. Samsung’s stock apps are also expected to receive layouts that better adapt to foldable devices and tablets, improving usability on larger screens.
The update may also offer Galaxy AI capabilities by integrating Gemini and Bixby more deeply into apps such as Calendar, Camera, Gallery, Samsung Health, Samsung Notes, Samsung Wallet, SmartThings and Samsung Internet. The company is also tipped to improve automation features and bring more capable AI agents and enhanced activity tracking.
One UI 9.5 release timeline and eligible devices
If the reports are believed to be true, the One UI 9.5 beta programme can begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 for select flagship devices. The stable version is expected to arrive along with the Galaxy S27 lineup in the first quarter of 2027, with older eligible devices getting the update gradually through the first half of the year.
The reported list of compatible devices includes recent Galaxy S-series phones from the Galaxy S24 onward, Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip models from the sixth generation onward, Galaxy Tab S9 and newer tablets, as well as several Galaxy A, M, F and XCover series devices that remain within Samsung’s software support window.
