Samsung Galaxy S26 series price hike
The report identifies several smartphone components, such as chipsets, camera sensors, and memory modules, that have experienced considerable price inflation through 2025. According to industry data, chip prices have risen by about 12% year on year, while camera modules are nearly 8% more expensive. Meanwhile, DRAM (LPDDR5) prices have risen by approximately 16% since Q1 2025, owing to supply constraints in the semiconductor market.
Global tariff uncertainties and fluctuating material costs may put additional pressure on Samsung’s pricing strategy for its 2026 flagship lineup.
If these reports are correct, the Galaxy S26 series could see a major spike in retail prices when it launches, which is reportedly delayed until February 2026 due to lineup changes that include the Galaxy S26 Plus replacing the Edge variant.
