Apple is reportedly preparing to expand its premium smartphone lineup with the upcoming iPhone Air 2. While the Cupertino tech giant has been tight-lipped about the upcoming device, leaks suggest that the upcoming phone might offer better display, camera, and performance when compared to its predecessor while keeping the same ultra-thin design. Rumours point to the smartphone housing Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro chip built on advanced 2nm technology. According to the latest leaks and rumours, the upcoming iPhone Air 2 is expected to have an ultra-thin titanium body, similar to the current iPhone Air. It is also likely to keep the same design and remain Apple’s slimmest iPhone.
In terms of camera, the device could feature a dual rear camera setup at the back which is expected to be placed horizontally. Apple may also redesign the Face ID system. The iPhone Air 2 is rumoured to come in four colour options, notably space black, cloud white, light gold, and lavender.

The upcoming iPhone Air 2 is said to feature a 6.55-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the smartphone may get a smaller dynamic island compared to the current iPhone Air.
Under the hood, the smartphone is said to draw its power from the upcoming Apple A20 Pro chipset, which is said to be developed using the 2nm technology. With the new chipset, the handset is expected to get improved thermal management, better efficiency and AI performance.
The iPhone Air 2 is also anticipated to land with a 3,500mAh battery and may support up to 20W wired and wireless charging. Talking about the camera, the smartphone may house a 48MP main camera along with a 48MP ultra-wide camera.
