The smartphone is in direct competition with the previously launched OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite and Motorola Edge 70 Fusion. All the handsets bring a distinct pitch to the table, as the Redmi leans on display size and battery capacity, while OnePlus banks on a faster refresh rate and efficient chipset, and Motorola stands out with a premium curved AMOLED panel and a versatile camera setup. The Redmi Note 17 5G packs a 7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 1,800 nits peak brightness. It also has HydroTouch 2.0, which enhances touch sensitivity even with wet fingers.
The OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite, in contrast, has a 6.72-inch FHD+ display with the faster refresh rate of 144Hz. For outdoor use it may achieve a peak brightness of 1000 nits.
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion comes with a 6.78-inch 1.5K quad-curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It also supports HDR10+ and can reach a peak brightness of 5,200 nits in bright conditions.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 17 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 CPU, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and internal storage which is expandable up to 2TB.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex CPU with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.
The Edge 70 Fusion is powered by Motorola and features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 CPU with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. There’s also a big vapour chamber to improve cooling.

Talking about the camera, the Redmi Note 17 5G features a 50MP AI rear camera with 2x in-sensor zoom along with an 8MP selfie shooter.
In comparison to that, the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite boasts a 50MP main camera supported by a 2MP depth sensor. At the front it comes with an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
To please the photography enthusiasts, the Motorola packs a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 camera with OIS with a 13MP ultra-wide and macro lens at the rear end. While at the front it houses a 32MP lens for selfies and video calls. It’s important to note that the Edge 70 Fusion supports 4K recording on all cameras.

The Redmi Note 17 ships with a massive 8,000mAh battery which is supported by 45W wired and 22.5W reverse-wired charging. On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite comes with a 7,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Motorola offers a 7,000mAh battery paired with 68W charging.

The Redmi Note 17 5G starts at Rs 27,999, while the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite landed in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 20,999 but currently sells for Rs 25,999 after the price hike, and the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion was launched with a price tag of Rs 26,999.
