While the Android-11 based OxygenOS 11 update will hit the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7 series smartphones in December, the company just pushed out an update to the OnePlus 7 series and OnePlus 7T, that fixes a few things and improves performance.

The latest update doesn't have new features as such, but updates the software to version 10.3.6 for users in India, fixing some bugs and retaining the previous September security patch. The update seems like a precursor to the major feature update expected to roll out in December. This is in fact the second update for the OnePlus 7 series and the OnePlus 7T, in October. Curiously missing in action is the OnePlus 7T Pro.

According to the forum posts , the new update for the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro and the OnePlus 7T has more or less the same changelog as before. That includes a new user assistance feature, optimized power consumption, fix for flashback issue, and system stability improvements.

All eyes are now on the roll out of the Android 11 update to older OnePlus smartphones. The OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and the OnePlus 8T are already running on OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11, with new features like an always-on display, grouped notifications, and more.
