The return of the king?

Good news for Nokia fans, as the company might unveil its new devices as early as Q4 this year. According to a report by Chinese website, The Paper, Nokia Executive Mike Wang said that phones and tablets bearing Nokia’s branding will be launched later this year. However, he did not reveal any details about the devices that the company plans to unveil. The new smartphones will be manufactured by HMD Global Oy, which has the licence to manufacture Nokia-branded devices for the next 10 years.

Last month, two Android-powered Nokia smartphones were leaked online. As per the report, the two were flagship devices, sporting polycarbonate shells and a design similar to the Nokia N1 tablet. Further, the phones were expected to run on Android Nougat, with the company's Z-Launcher layered over it. As for the specifications, both the phones were tipped to feature QHD displays, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 SoC. The difference between the two was that one may have housed a 5.2-inch display, while the other, 5.5-inch. Nokia is also expected to equip the two phones with 22.6MP rear cameras. There are also speculations that one of the devices might sport the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC.
