The new smartphone is more or less identical to the 4GB variant that is currently available in India, except for the bump in RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. The 6GB Nokia 8 is available via online retailers like Amazon Germany and Otto starting at EUR 669 (approx Rs 51,000 directly converted). It should be noted that the same variant was launched in Finland a few days ago at EUR 649.90 (approx Rs 49,600). It is not yet known if or when this version of the phone will launch in India.

The 4GB version of the Nokia 8 is priced at Rs 36,999 and sports a 5.3-inch QHD display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. At the back is a dual-rear camera setup with two 13MP sensors. One of the sensors takes an image in monochrome, while the other takes an RGB image. The Nokia 8 also comes with a feature called Bothie, which takes a picture using the front and rear cameras simultaneously.

Nokia recently unveiled the Nokia 7 smartphone in China, which comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. The phone sports a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with 2.5D glass. Unlike the Nokia 8, the Nokia 7 sports a single 16MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture lens, while at the front is a 5MP unit. However, the phone does come with the company’s Bothie feature. Prices for the 4GB RAM variant start at CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 25,000 directly converted), while the 6GB variant starts at CNY 2,699 (approx Rs 27,000 directly converted).
