Moto Z2 Play pre-orders to start from June 8 in India
Pre-orders only seem to be possible via retail stores for now, and the company is giving a number of offers for those who pre-order the device
Moto has confirmed that pre-orders for its newest smartphone, the Moto Z2 Play will start from June 8 in India. The company made the announcement via its social media accounts. However, the pre-booking only seems to be possible via retail stores for now. To entice buyers, Moto is giving a number of pre-booking offers. These include Hello Finance, Hello Mods and Hello Armor. Hello Finance lets buyers book the device at Rs. 2000, and pay the remaining balance at 0% interest over 10 months. Hello Mods will offer buyers to pick up select MotoMods at discounts, but the company has not yet mentioned which Mods will be available at part of the offer. Hello Armor pack will offer protective accessories for the smartphone.
Moto unveiled the Z2 Play just a few days ago and like its predecessor, offers a modular design. The device sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 626 platform. At the back is a 12MP Dual Autofocus Pixel camera, which is similar to the one used on the Moto G5 Plus. At the front is a 5MP wide-angle camera. The device is equipped with a 3000mAh battery, which is smaller than the one used on the first Moto Z Play.
The device is available in two variants, one with 3GB of RAM/32GB storage, and another with 4GB RAM/64GB storage. However, it is not yet known if the company plans to bring both variants to India. Prices for the device start at $499 in the US (approx. Rs. 32,100).
