Huawei P20, P20 Plus images leaked, reveal iPhone X-like notch, triple-rear cameras
HIGHLIGHTS

An alleged image of the Huawei P20 has been tweeted by notable tipster, Evan Blass, revealing an iPhone X-like notch on its display and another render by Slashleaks tips at a triple-rear camera setup on the P20 and the P20 Plus.

Huawei didn’t showcase its upcoming P20 series smartphones at MWC 2018, and instead revealed that they will be launched at an event in Paris, on March 27. Ahead of launch, Evan Blass aka @evleaks has posted an image, stating that it's the Huawei P20. The picture of the smartphone reveals its design and it sports a dual-camera setup, instead of the rumoured triple-camera setup. A previous report tips that out of the three P20 series smartphones, the Huawei P20 Lite could come with a dual rear camera setup. In a separate tweet, Slashleaks shared an alleged render of the Huawei P20 and the P20 plus, revealing the triple camera setup on the back.

It is possible that the image posted by Blass could be of the Huawei P20 Lite. The smartphone is seen featuring a notch on the top of its display, similar to the iPhone X. However, it’s slightly smaller than the one we have seen on Apple’s flagship device and is seen housing the earpiece and the front facing camera. The handset sports an 18:9 display aspect ratio, but still has enough area left on the bottom chin to accommodate a fingerprint sensor, which could also double as the home button. The smartphone sports a glass back and as mentioned earlier, comes with a vertically stacked dual-cameras and an LED flash.

Further, Slashleaks has tweeted renders of the P20 and P20 Plus’s rear panel. The renders show a glass rear panel similar to the one seen above. It also suggets that the triple camera-setup will be stacked vertically as well, with the LED flash below. The Huawei and Leica branding can be seen in the image.

Even though Huawei delayed unveiling its smartphones at MWC 2018, the company did showcase its new MateBook X Pro laptop and the MediaPad M5 tablets. With both the devices, the company has emphasised the thin-bezel design. For the sake of design, the webcam on the laptop has even been relocated beneath the F5 key do that the bezels remain ultra-thin.
