Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro going to launch soon? Here is what we know
Samsung may add a new Galaxy S27 Pro model, giving users more choices in the lineup.
The Pro version could offer better features than Plus but cost less than Ultra.
It is expected to come with a powerful chip, good cameras, and long software support.
Samsung is reportedly planning a change in its flagship phone lineup. Recent leaks say the South Korean company may expand the upcoming Galaxy S27 series. Until now the lineup included a standard model, a Plus version, and a high-end Ultra model. The new report suggests Samsung could add a Galaxy S27 Pro model with the upcoming Galaxy S27 series. This new option would come between the Plus and Ultra versions. It may have better features than Plus but still cost less than Ultra. This would give buyers more choices and more flexible pricing. The company has not confirmed this yet, but many expect an official announcement closer to launch in the coming months for users.
SurveyTipster Ice Universe recently shared a post on X claiming that Samsung’s Mobile Experience division has finalised plans to launch four Galaxy S27 variants: the standard Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27 Plus, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra.

Since the Galaxy S20 series launched in 2020, Samsung has been offering three models, with the Ultra as the only top-end option. Adding a Pro model could create a second premium choice, giving users more flexibility when picking high-end features.
This would be the first time in two years that Samsung adds a new model to its Galaxy S series. Unlike earlier attempts, such as the Galaxy S25 Edge, which focused on a slimmer design but was later discontinued, the Pro model is meant to strengthen the lineup, not replace any existing device.

The Pro model should have many of the Ultra’s features, except for some of them, such as the S Pen, since Samsung is able to present a high-performance product without having to be too similar to the Ultra. Moreover, it’s also said that the Pro model will also receive the Privacy Display launched with the S26 Ultra model.
Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro: Specs and features
According to the rumours, the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro is said to come equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, while some leaks also point out that it may feature Gen 6 Pro. The chipsets are expected to be built on a 2nm process.

Moreover, it may likely sport up to 16GB of LPDDR6 RAM with a UFS 5.0 storage option that goes up to 1TB. It’s also anticipated to run on One UI 9, which is expected to be a skin based on Android 17. Furthermore, reports also suggest that it may also receive seven years of OS support from the makers.
In the camera department the smartphone is expected to launch with a triple-camera setup that may include a 200MP primary camera alongside dual telephoto lenses. At the front the smartphone is said to house a 40MP camera for selfies and video calls.
