Huawei Honor, 8-inch quad-core voice calling tablet announced

The Huawei Honor is a budget tablet with voice calling and 3G connectivity options.

Huawei has introduced a new tablet called Honor. The Huawei Honor runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Emotion UI 1.6 and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8212 chipset with 1.2GHz quad-core CPU along with 1GB of RAM. Huawei's tablet is currently available for Malaysia market with a price tag of $184.

The tablet has an 8-inch display with 1280×800 pixels resolution. It sports 5MP main camera and VGA front facing camera. The tablet has 16GB built-in memory, expandable up via microSD. Connectivity options include voice calling, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS/ A-GPS. It is powered by a 4.800 mAh battery.

Huawei had announced four new devices at the IFA event earlier this month. The company had introduced Ascend Mate 7, Ascend G7, Y550 and G620S. While the Ascend Mate 7 is a 6-inch full HD phablet, the G7 is a 5-inch 720p smartphone. The Huawei Y550 and G6205 are the budget smartphones.

Huawei is hosting an event in Delhi today. The company is expected to announce its Honor 6 smartphone. The Honor 6 features octa-core processor, 3GB processor and 16GB ROM.
