HTC Desire 10 to be launched in Q3 2016?
HIGHLIGHTS

Possibly, an HTC 10 body with mid-range specifications.

HTC may be working on a new smartphone called the Desire 10, according to leakster Evan Blass. While he doesn't mention any specifications of the device, he states that it will be “coming end of Q3”. Those expecting an improved variant of the current HTC flagship, the HTC 10, may be disappointed as the Desire moniker is generally used by the company for its low- to mid-range smartphones. It is possible that the company may launch a smartphone with the same metal body as the HTC 10, but with lower specifications. This would make the device a good proposition for those looking for a good-looking smartphone at reasonably affordable pricing.

To recall, the HTC 10 was launched in India more than a month ago in India, and sports an all-metal body with broad, chamfered edges around the rear of the phone. Specifications-wise, the device sports a 5.2-inch QHD display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC with 4GB of RAM. At the back is a 12MP UltraPixel camera with Optical Image Stabilisation, laser-assisted autofocus and an f/1.8 aperture lens, while at the front is a 5MP camera that is also equipped with OIS. It should also be noted that HTC has globally unveiled a less expensive variant of the phone, called the HTC 10 Lifestyle. It is quite similar to the standard HTC 10, but is powered by a Snapdragon 652 SoC with 3GB of RAM. This variant, though, is not available in India, and HTC has not stated whether it will be launched in the country.
