Huawei Vlog will be available for Honor Play after the EMUI 9.1 update.

Honor has announced the release of its latest Android 9 Pie update for the Honor 8x and Honor Play in India. The EMUI 9.1 has several new features and improvements, including better UI Design, Gesture Based Navigation, GPU Turbo 3.0, all-new EROFS (Extendable Read-Only File System), and Advanced Battery management among other features. The new update has started rolling out in batches. Users will be notified about the update in their notification panel when they receive it.

According to the company, “the latest update reduces SoC power consumption during gameplay by 10 percent. The all-new EROFS improves app speed, fluidity and smoothness, and increase random read performance by an average of 20%, app start-up speed by 10%, data reading performance in a low-memory condition, and improves the security of system files.”

For gamers, EMUI 9.1 update covers GPU Turbo 3.0 as well. It supports 25 games globally, including PUBG Mobile, ASPHALT 9, NBA 2K19, Mobile Legends, Fortnite, FIFA Mobile and Modern Combat 5. The upgrade for the Honor Play also includes Huawei Vlog, which allows users to customise music and special effect settings for Spotlight Reel, Highlights, Portrait, as well as slow-motion and fast-motion videos, video ringtones, etc.

The EMUI 9.1 is also bringing new swipe gestures with it. The update also ensures that Digital Wellbeing is tailored for the user and learns their patterns and preferences.
