After Xiaomi and OnePlus, Asus has also launched its high capacity power bank, Asus ZenPower, in India. Asus claims the device is not bigger than a credit card.

Asus has launched its power bank ZenPower in India. With price starting at Rs. 1499, the new ZenPower is available in silver, pink, blue, gold and black variants. The device will be available starting May 15 in Asus stores and on Flipkart.

The ASUS ZenPower weighs 215g, the company says the device is “no bigger than a credit card” and “perfect palm fit product”. The ZenPower comes with 10050mAh capacity. It supports devices of various brands and batteries of various capacities. “A smart phone with a battery capacity of 1500mA, 2000mA, 2500mA and 3000mA can be charged 4 times, 3 times, 2.5 times and 2 times respectively. Besides this, it can also charge tablets with battery capacity of 4000mA, 4500mA and 5000mA for 1.5 times, 1.2 times and 1.1 times,” says Asus in a release.

The ASUS ZenPower comes ZenPower Bumper that is supposed to provide extra protection that is scratch and impact resistant. The powerbank offers high-speed, high-efficiency charging with up to 2.4A output. It has PowerSafe Technology that monitors temperature, controls both input and output voltages, and guards against short circuits providing maximum safety while charging. “The ASUS ZenPower not only offers superlative functionalities but also focusses on the aesthetic aspects. The aluminum outer casing contributes to the beauty and strength of the device and its ergonomic feel. It lends a smooth, premium finish that gives it a luxurious look,” says Arnold Su’ – Product Manager – Mobile Accessories, ASUS India.

Launch of the ZenPower comes shortly after OnePlus launched its 10,000 mAh powerbank in India for Rs. 1399.
